Tanzania Cultural Safari Tour Experience

Join us on this 7-day tour which will bring you to amazing cultural experiences along with the best of the Tanzanian national parks. We can accommodate any group size on this trip, from solo travelers to groups of 20 people.

Day 1 Arusha

Distance: 50 km (1 Hr)

Met on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport. Transfer to hotel in Arusha.

Overnight in Lush Garden Hotel  (B&B).

Day 2 Lake Manyara National Park

Distance: 50km
Non – game viewing time: 2 – 3 Hrs

After breakfast, the tour departs. First stop is Arusha Town for any last minute purchases before we head off on safari. Afterward, we head to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats including acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. Thanks to this the small park are able to support a large number of animal species and incredible bird life. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world and the lions here are also renowned for their tree climbing.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park during the game viewing.

This evening you will enjoy a show of traditional Swahili drumming, dancing, and acrobatics.

Dinner and overnight at Twiga Lodge & Campsite (FB).

Day 3 Lake Eyasi Cultural Tour

After breakfast at 7:00 am we will drive to Lake Eyasi for the more cultural experience of this tour. Here you will meet bushmen (Hadzabe) and Datoga tribes. You can experience their traditional way of life, visit their homes and follow a hunting trip.

Packed lunch will be enjoyed during the day.

Day 4  Serengeti National park

Distance: 145km
Non – game viewing time : 3 – 4 Hrs
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area which is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River. This provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.

During the game drive, you will enjoy your packed lunch at one of the park’s picnic sites.

Dinner and overnight in Serengeti Katikati Tented Camp

Day 5 Serengeti National Park

Full day Serengeti National Park game drive including following the wildebeest migration if the season allows.

Packed lunch during the day.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Katikati Tented Camp.

Day 6 Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Distance: 145km
Non – game viewing time: 2 – 4 Hrs

Early morning game drive and after depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution Late afternoon transfer to Lodge. We will have an opportunity to visit a local Masai boma and experience their nomadic lifestyle.

Day 7 Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Airport

Distance: 210km
Non – game viewing time : 3 – 4 Hrs

After an early breakfast, You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports an avast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.

Enjoy your picnic lunch at the hippo pools.

Late afternoon transfer to Arusha or airport. (Accommodation can be included upon request at extra cost )
