Day 1 Arusha -Lake Manyara National Park
In the morning, after breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel in Arusha by your Yao Safaris professional guide. We will drive to Lake Manyara National Park (125 km/ 2 hr drive). Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats, including acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. Thanks to this the small park are able to support a large number of animal species and incredible bird life. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world and the lions here are also renowned for their tree climbing. During the game drive, you will enjoy a packed lunch at the park picnic site.
That evening, after dinner in the lodge, you will enjoy a local show of acrobatics, drumming, and dancing.

Day 2 Arusha – Mto Wa Mbu
After breakfast, (between 8 and 9 am) you will start on a walking tour of the town of Mto wa Mbu, guided by a local guide. This area is famous for its tropical fruit growing, including an abundance of banana farms. You will visit a local wood carving studio and see some intricate carvings being created from local solid wood, such as ebony and mahogany. The tour will include a traditional Tanzanian cooking lesson, which is where you will eat your hot lunch. On the drive back to Arusha, you will experience the traditional Masai way of life during a visit to a Masai Boma.
